Choose a network strategy
Independent pharmacies may evaluate direct contracts, PSAO participation, or other network arrangements. Compare economics, operational requirements, audit exposure, term and termination rights, and service obligations.
Prepare a credentialing file
Create a reusable credentialing package containing licenses, ownership, tax and banking information, NPIs, pharmacy identifiers, insurance, hours, contacts, accreditation or service credentials, and other commonly requested materials.
Track every effective date
Do not assume an application or signed agreement means claims can be billed immediately. Track approval, network, and effective dates for each payer relationship.
